Jini’s first solo EP “An Iron Hand In A Velvet Glove” will show sides of the singer never before seen during her time as a member of girl group NMIXX.

A teaser image released Wednesday shows the face of the singer reflected in a shattered mirror with a dark background. Another teaser image released Friday was of Jini in front of a contrasting pink background.

“The elegant and cold vibes of Jini [shown in the two teasers] encompasses the soft and beautiful sides of Jini, as shown in the ‘Velvet Glove’ part of the album, and her strength and toughness, as signified in the ‘Iron Hand’ [part of the album],” Jini’s agency ATOC said in a press release Friday.

The tracklist for the album will be revealed Saturday.

Jini debuted as a member of girl group NMIXX in 2022 under JYP Entertainment, using the stage name Jinni. After two album releases, JYP Entertainment announced in December 2022 that they would end her exclusive contract with the agency and Jini would leave NMIXX due to "personal reasons."

Jini signed with fledgling agency United Artist Productions (UAP) in April 2023. The agency changed its company name to ATOC in early September.
