October is National Pizza Month in the United States, and Tabasco is celebrating it with a Pizza Festa at Seongsu-dong in Seongdong District, eastern Seoul.

The event began Tuesday and is slated to run through Oct. 31. Curated with @zele_park, a Seongsu-dong food and news Instagrammer, Tabasco’s Pizza Festa is a collaborative pop-up with eight of the most trendy pizza parlors in the neighborhood.

Tabasco has released on social media a map of the eight pizza venues participating in the ongoing Festa, all located around Ttukseom and Seongsu subway stations: The Fitzza, Dough Society, Pizza Turtles, Paperplate, Podo-Pizza, P’eatzza, Pizza Season and HDD.

Various events and gifts such as scratch-off cards, Tabasco merch and mini bottles of Tabasco will be available at the eight venues during the collaboration period when ordering certain items on the menu and posting pictures with hashtags on Instagram.

Other special offerings during the Pizza Festa include Paperplate’s limited “Tabasco edition” pizza named hot meat; Podo-Pizza’s Tabasco cream shrimp pizza featuring special lettering with the sauce; HDD’s upgraded Tabasco hot chicken pizza; and Pizza Turtle’s Tabasco-mayo sauce served alongside a half-potato and half-combination pie.

Dough Society is putting forth its lamb masala pie, The Fitzza is offering pepperoni and spinach pizza slices, inspired by the colors of the Tabasco bottle, and P’eatzza is offering salami pizza with a side of fish and chips as its best pairings with the staple American hot sauce.

Seongsu-dong is often said to be the Brooklyn of Seoul, packed with young creative minds who have turned a neighborhood filled with worn-out warehouses into one of the trendiest neighborhoods in the city today. Seongsu-dong was one of the most tagged locations on Instagram in 2022, according to the Korea Tourism Organization.

More information about Tabasco’s Pizza Festa pop-up collaboration is available on the participating pizza venues’ respective social media pages.
