Krafton's Q3 income exceeds expectations

Krafton reported a third-quarter net income of 211.6 billion won ($161.8 million) on Tuesday, down 6.5 percent from a year earlier. 
 
The company said in a regulatory filing that its operating profit for the July-September period rose 30.9 percent on year to 189.3 billion won. Sales increased 3.8 percent to 450.3 billion won.
 
The earnings exceeded market expectations. Analysts' average net profit estimate stood at 125.4 billion won, according to a survey from Yonhap Infomax, the financial data arm of Yonhap News Agency.
