Former (G)I-DLE member Soojin's upcoming solo debut EP "Agassy" will be a reboot of her career as a singer and an effort to reconnect with her fans, the singer's agency said Wednesday.

"Agassy" will be released at 6 p.m. Wednesday, via various music streaming platforms.

"I put most emphasis on 'revealing myself' and conveying it with the lyrics," Soojin said in a press release. "Before, I have shown rather charismatic and strong sides of myself, but this time, I decided to reveal a different side of myself. I hope that my fans and audiences will be able to enjoy a completely different version of me. This EP is a whole new blend of my [qualities], both pure and enchanting, as well as charismatic and mysterious."

"Agassy" is composed of six tracks, including the title track "Agassy" and five others, "Flowering," "Sunflower," "TyTy," "Sunset" and "bloodredroses."

"I'm most attached to 'Sunset,' the fifth track among the six tracks in my new EP," she said.

"This song beautifully captures the time spent with a loved one as the day fades, filled with pleasant daydreams of meeting that special someone," she added. "When I encountered the song, it allowed me to imagine the journey of meeting fans in a delightful way."

Soojin released her second teaser video for the EP on her YouTube channel on Tuesday.

"Agassy" features unique Korean traditional motifs, such as tunes of Korean traditional musical instruments and Soojin's dress that is reminiscent of Korean traditional dress, hanbok. She is also wearing a traditional Korean hairpin, or binyeo.

Soojin resumes her entertainment career after a two-year hiatus. She halted her activities in February 2021 after facing allegations of school violence online. She left (G)I-DLE in August of the same year, and Cube Entertainment ended its exclusive contract with Soojin the following year.
