Seoul Metro's labor union plans to go on strike on Nov. 22.

The strike would be the union's second walkout this month.

The labor union of Seoul's chief subway operator, Seoul Metro, announced Tuesday that it will go on strike from 9 a.m. next Wednesday.

The subway labor union went on strike last Thursday and Friday.

However, unlike the first strike, the labor union has not decided how long its next walkout will be.

The labor union stressed that Seoul Metro has yet to respond to the union's demands for serious discussions.

The union has been protesting against Seoul Metro’s restructuring plan, which calls for laying off 13.5 percent of its workforce, or over 2,200 employees, by 2026.
