Enhypen's 'Orange Blood' sells 1.87M copies in the 1st week of release

Boy band Enhypen's fifth EP "Orange Blood" sold over 1.87 million copies during the first week of its release, a record for the band, according to music sales tracker Hanteo Chart.

"Orange Blood," released on Nov. 17, surpassed the record of its previous EP "Dark Blood," which sold 1,322,516 copies within the first week of release.

"Orange Blood" sold more than 1.3 million copies on the day of its release, according to Enhypen's agency Belift Lab.

The album is the band's fourth million-seller, following its first full-length album "Dimension: Dilemma" (2021), EP "Manifesto: Day 1" (2022) and EP "Dark Blood."

The latest EP topped Oricon's Daily Album chart on Monday. It also sat at No. 1 on the iTunes Top Album chart in 16 countries, such as Indonesia, Vietnam and Egypt, on Saturday.

Enhypen debuted in November 2020 under Belift Lab, a HYBE subsidiary. The band was formed in September of the same year through cable network Mnet and HYBE's audition show "I-LAND" (2020). The members are Sunghoon, Jay, Jake, Jungwon, Heeseung, Sunoo and Ni-ki.

The band set a record for the fastest K-pop boy band to hold a solo concert at Tokyo Dome during its second world tour "Fate," which finished on Oct. 22 in Chicago.

It also won the Special International Music Award at the 65th Japan Record Awards on Wednesday and is scheduled to perform live on U.S. television network ABC's talk show "Good Morning America" on Friday.
