Korean shipbuilder Hanwha Ocean, an affiliate under Hanwha Group, received a 163 billion won ($125 million) ammonia ship order from a client in the Oceania region, according to the company on Monday.

Hanwha Ocean will build the ammonia carrier by September 2026 for the shipper in the Oceania region, the company said in a regulatory filing.

The company has obtained $3 billion worth of ship orders so far this year, achieving 43 percent of its annual order target of $6.98 billion.

Hanwha Ocean was formerly called Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering before it was acquired by Hanwha Group, and newly launched in 2023.
