The much-loved tteokbokki and instant rice from CJ CheilJedang's food brands are now available in Australian convenience stores.

EzyMart, one of Australia's major convenience store chains with over 450 stores nationwide, started offering 14 products, including the Korean food conglomerate's bibigo tteokbokki, seaweed snack, as well as Hetbahn (microwaveable instant rice) and Cupbahn (pre-cooked rice with soup or side dishes).

This move comes on the heels of CJ CheilJedang's initial entry into Woolworths, Australia's largest supermarket chain, in May, with the introduction of bibigo mandu (dumplings) in over 1,000 stores.

"Expanding into convenience stores in addition to supermarkets enabled us to reach a broader audience of local consumers in Australia," an official from CJ CheilJedang said. "EzyMart operates over 200 stores in Sydney, which is expected to contribute to increased local visibility and an enhanced consumer experience."
