Korea University Institute for Continuing Education is recruiting new participants into its golf management program, which has been scheduled to run from March 6 through July 3 next year.

First launched in September this year, the program allows participants to learn how to play golf from prominent figures in the sport.

Course leader Kim Joo-young will oversee the entire course, with former pros Kim Joo-hyung, Kim Ju-yun, Chung Jae-eun, SBS Golf lecturer Lim Jin-han and former PGA Tour caddie Lim Tae-kyung offering golf lessons.

Kim Joo-hyung competed on the JPGA in the 1990s and now teaches golf at his own academy.

Kim Ju-yun is a Korea University graduate who won the Women’s Open — an LPGA major — in 2005.

Chung, another Korea University graduate, is a former KLPGA golfer and now offers golf lessons on JTBC Golf.

United States Golf Teachers Federation teaching professional Park Young-chul will continue to provide lessons on the useful exercises needed to better play golf, while OK Financial Group Sporting Director Kwon Cheol-geun and model Ha Yeon-hwa will teach classes on sports marketing and golf fashion.

Theory-based lectures will take place at the Korea University Institute for Continuing Education lecture room in Seongbuk District, central Seoul and golf lessons will be held on golf courses, including Shilla Country Club in Yeoju, Gyeonggi.

The institute is recruiting about 40 applicants for the program, with applications open on the institute’s website until Feb. 28.
