BTS's 2017 track returns to music charts worldwide as ARMY bid farewell to members

BTS's 2017 hit R&B track "Spring Day" sprung back up to the top of global music charts after the band's dedicated fandom ARMY gathered their forces to say a special goodbye to members as they all began their mandatory service duties this month.

"Spring Day," the lead track of BTS's repackaged album of its second full-length album "You Never Walk Alone" (2017), topped the iTunes Top Song charts in 83 regions around the world for the first time in six years since its first release.

It has even overthrown the all-time Christmas classic "All I Want for Christmas is You" (1994) by Mariah Carey, which has been topping the charts during the holiday season.

"The comeback of 'Spring Day' has the power of ARMY to thank," BTS's agency BigHit Music said in a press release. "It is the warm hearts of fans that await all seven members of BTS to return in 2025 that has been shown on the music charts."

The remaining four members of BTS — RM, V, Jimin and Jungkook — began their military service earlier this week. All members are expected to have completed their service by June 2025.
