Posco Future M signed a memorandum of understanding with Korea University on Thursday, agreeing to create a master's and doctorate program in battery materials and technology.

The program, named the e-Battery Track, will open at the university starting the spring semester of 2024.

Students enrolled in the program will learn about battery materials and collaborate on research projects with Posco Future M.

Scholarships and internships will be offered, along with the opportunity to visit the company's facilities.

The company said international students can enroll in the program.

"It is an honor to work with Korea University's engineering school, which contributed a lot to the development of Korea's technology, in fostering talent for the battery materials sector," Kim Jun-hyung, president of Posco Future M, said. "We will support the students so they can become the best researchers."

An event introducing Posco Future M was held on the same day at Korea University, with the company sharing its corporate vision and business areas with the university's students.
