A station worker caught a man who was hanging on a moving KTX train that was leaving Gwangmyeong Station at around 3:50 p.m. on Friday.

The man, a foreigner, reportedly failed to board the train on time, KBS reported the same day.

He was caught on camera by a YouTuber squeezing his foot between cars nine and 10 and holding onto the train's coupling device with one hand.

A station worker chased after the train and asked him to get off while talking into a communication device to alert other station workers.

The video showed the man shouting at the station worker in English, saying, "You saw me opening the [train] door," refusing to comply with the station worker's requests.

"Let me on the train. I have a ticket," the man says in the video.

He only got off the train when it stopped.

He was also filmed arguing with the station worker in Korean after he got off the train, in which the worker explains there had been announcements saying the doors were closing before the train left.

KBS reported that the man arrived at his destination by taking the train he had hung onto and was fined for violating the Railway Safety Act, which prohibits interfering with train operations.
