Sibling duo AKMU held a concert for pediatric patients at Seoul National University Hospital in Jongno District, central Seoul, on Wednesday.

The concert was organized by AKMU, who first reached out to the hospital expressing its desire to offer support and comfort to the pediatric patients, according to a Yonhap report.

AKMU’s concert, which was originally scheduled to only last 20 minutes, ended up lasting 50 minutes, Yonhap said.

The duo performed many of its hits, including “Last Goodbye” (2017), “Dinosaur” (2017), “Give Love” (2014), and its new release “Love Lee.”

"‘Love Lee’ was a song made to convey love to a beloved friend, and when we started this project, I thought we should visit a hospital at least once,” Lee Chan-hyuk of AKMU said.

Keeping to AKMU’s intention that the concert be enjoyed primarily by the pediatric patients and their guardians in the hospital, rather than by outside visitors, the hospital said it announced the event only the day before it was to be held.

AKMU later visited patients in the pediatric hemato-oncology ward who were unable to come to the lobby due to mobility issues. The duo gave out gifts they had prepared and personally visited pediatric patients who couldn't leave their rooms, offering their support and taking photos with them.

AKMU is a singer-songwriter duo consisting of siblings Lee Chan-hyuk and Lee Su-hyun. The duo began its career by uploading self-produced tracks and cover videos online in 2012. The duo rose to fame the following year when they appeared on and took home the trophy for SBS's audition program "K-Pop Star 2" (2012-13).
