DP chief suffers 1-centimeter wound from attack

The man in his 50s, who attacked Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung on Tuesday during his visit to Busan's Gadeok Island, approaches Lee before he attacks the DP leader. [SCREEN CAPTURE]

The injury Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung sustained during his visit to Busan's Gadeok Island on Tuesday is not life-threatening.
 
According to emergency authorities, Lee suffered a 1-centimeter (0.4 inches) cut on his neck.

He is undergoing treatment and has not lost consciousness.
 
Lee was attacked around 10:27 a.m. on the left side of his neck by a man wearing a paper crown who identified himself as a Lee supporter.
 
Lee was loaded into an ambulance at 10:47 a.m. and later taken to Pusan National University Hospital by helicopter, arriving at 11:13 a.m.
