Korea's state water agency, K-water, is participating in CES 2024 in Las Vegas to showcase innovations in climate technology utilizing water resources.
This marks the agency's second appearance at the exhibition.
K-water will present its technologies addressing climate change, carbon neutrality and digital water management under the theme of "Water-Energy-City.”
At the world's largest technology fair, K-water aims to support the international expansion of domestic enterprises with notable technologies alongside 19 Korean water companies. Of them, four firms, including GongGong, Solarinno, AeolKorea and EcoPeace, have received the CES Innovation Award from the Consumer Technology Association (CTA).
K-water's exhibition hall includes various events such as buyer meetings, investor pitch sessions and a forum on the future vision of the water industry. The forum, held Tuesday, was joined by K-water CEO Yun Seog-dae and Professor Choi Jae-hong from Gachon University's Startup School as well as companies BTE and BuKangTech to contribute insights into the future trajectory of Korea's water industry and discuss export opportunities for the innovative water-related technologies.
K-water has been actively supporting the water sector since 2018, including identifying and supporting 500 water-related enterprises, including nurturing two unicorns-to-be with current corporate values of over 100 billion won ($75.9 million). By the end of 2023, the agency achieved an export figure of 45 billion won.
The K-water booth is located at Eureka Park Hall Booth with an area of 2,500 feet.
