Billboard is set to launch Billboard Korea starting with its first issue, "Billboard K Vol. 1," in June, the American music publication said Monday.

Billboard Korea adds to the list of the magazine's international editions, including Billboard Japan and Billboard Brasil.

Billboard Korea plans to partner with various Korean entertainment firms, platforms and brands, offering high-quality content and chart data in the future, the company said in a press release.

"Billboard K" is expected to promote K-pop to a global audience and serve as a bridge between Korean readers and global entertainment news, it said.

"Now that the status of K-artists and K-pop has risen worldwide, Billboard Korea seeks to serve as an ambassador to promote K-culture, including K-fashion, K-beauty and K-food, alongside focusing on K-pop," Yuna Kim, publisher of Billboard Korea, said in a press release.

"We are thrilled to announce our expansion into Korea," Billboard president Mike Van told Billboard.

"Billboard has long celebrated the rich contribution of Korean music across our platforms. This expansion is a significant milestone for our brand and underscores our dedication to amplifying the voices and talent that shape the vibrant Korean music scene."

Billboard Korea is set to open its official website and digital platform starting in April before its official launch.
