Drunk driver in car chase had 4-year-old son in passenger seat

A drunk driver in his 30s led police on a 5-kilometer chase with his four-year-old son in the passenger seat.

According to the police on Monday, the driver was driving his Kia Seltos SUV under the influence of alcohol in Yeoju, Gyeonggi, at around 10:40 p.m. Sunday.

The police first noticed the driver when he ran a red light.

Although the authorities instructed him to pull over, the driver continued driving for another 5 kilometers before being stopped.

The driver's intoxication level was severe enough to have his license suspended.

Despite the perilous situation, Neither the driver nor his four-year-old son were hurt.
