Michelin Guide announces best affordable restaurants in Seoul for 2024
The Michelin Guide on Wednesday released its selection of affordable Bib Gourmand restaurants in Seoul.
The list presents 57 eateries including six new locations: Mexican restaurant Mattdol in Seongdong District, eastern Seoul; gomtang (beef bone soup) restaurant Kyewol Gomtang in Seongdong District, eastern Seoul; ramen restaurants Damtaek and Sarukame in Mapo District, western Seoul; pork gukbap (soup and rice) restaurant An-Am in Jongno District, central Seoul; and Thai restaurant Horapa also in Jongno District.
Bib Gourmand is a rating that recognizes “good cuisine at reasonable prices,” according to the Michelin Guide. Restaurants in Seoul that offer dishes under 45,000 won ($34) on average, are eligible.
Bib Gourmand's Busan 2024 list is set to be released on Feb. 22, along with the new edition of prestigious star listings in both Seoul and Busan on the same day.
