Tesla, Hyundai Motor, and four other carmakers will voluntarily recall nearly 55,000 vehicles due to faulty components.

The six companies, including Kia, Ford Sales & Service Korea, GS Global Corp. and Bumhan Mobility, are recalling a total of 54,792 units of 19 different models, the transport ministry said Wednesday.

The problems that caused the recall include rear camera software problems in Tesla's Model X, a faulty power transmission system in the rear wheels of Hyundai's pure electric Ioniq 5 and Kia's all-electric EV6 model, the statement said.

Vehicle owners can check the government's homepage at www.car.go.kr or call 080-357-2500 to see if their vehicles are subject to the recall, the ministry said.
