The opening ceremony of the “70 Years of Friendship: Greece’s Images of the Years of the Korean War" exhibition was held at the War Memorial Museum of Korea in Yongsan District, central Seoul, on Thursday.
The photographic work of Robert McCabe was displayed at the exhibition and "is an aesthetic perfection and an important cultural and historical treasure for Greece," according to the Greek embassy. The photos depict different places in Greece in the 1950s, capturing moments, feelings and sensations of the times when Greece participated in the Korean War.
Ambassador of Greece to Korea Ekaterini Loupas, Konstantinos Mazarakis Ainian, Honorary Chief of Navy of Greece, Baek Seung-Joo, President of the War Memorial of Korea and Paik Nam-hee, daughter of General Paik Sun-yup, were among those in attendance at the opening ceremony Thursday.
