An elite group of Korean, U.S. and Thai Marines have staged joint reconnaissance drills as part of an annual multinational exercise in Thailand, Korea's Marine Corps said Wednesday.

The weeklong joint exercise began last Friday, involving some 40 Marines from the three countries, amid the ongoing Cobra Gold exercise that kicked off last week, according to the Marine Corps.

The three sides staged various drills, including training on underwater infiltration and jungle survival skills, to improve joint operational capabilities, it said.
