Shinhan Financial Group hosts conference for International Women’s Day

Shinhan Financial Group hosted a SHeroes conference in celebration of International Women’s Day on Friday.

SHeroes is a program dedicated to fostering female leadership at Shinhan. The company began the program in 2018.

Shinhan Financial Group Chairman Jin Ok-dong congratulated 60 new members of the program at the conference. The program participants will receive mentoring from senior colleagues, take part in networking and learn the latest trends, according to Shinhan.

“Shinhan SHeroes leaders are not just leaders that simply represent women, but are responsible talents that respect diversity in a group,” Jin said in the congratulatory speech. He further pledged to raise the role of women workers and improve their overall competitiveness.
