Jemal Yimer Mekonnen of Ethiopia won the 2024 Seoul International Marathon on Sunday after finishing the race in two hours, six minutes and nine seconds.
The course began at Gwanghwamun Square in central Seoul and ended at Jamsil Sports Complex in southern Seoul. The race saw 38,000 participants from 79 countries compete.
The annual Seoul Marathon began in 1931. The past three consecutive winners in the men's division have all been from Ethiopia.
