Red Star Belgrade midfielder Hwang In-beom scored a goal and recorded an assist in his side’s 5-0 victory over Radnicki 1923 at Red Star Stadium in Belgrade, Serbia on Sunday, keeping their spot at the top of the 16-team Serbian SuperLiga table.

It was a one-sided affair, with Hwang’s Red Stars holding on to possession for two-thirds of the match of which Hwang played the full 90 minutes.
 
Red Star midfielder Marko Stamenic opened the scoring in the 10th minute with Senegalese international striker Cherif Ndiaye making things 2-0 in the 20th minute, carrying the lead into the break.
 
Things went further south for the visitors from Kragujevac shortly after halftime, with Slobodan Simonovic picking up a red card in the 48th minute and leaving them to play the rest of the game one-man down.
 
Ndiaye scored again minutes later, putting the score at 3-0.
 
Following a wave of substitutions from both sides in the next several minutes, it was Hwang who got goal No. 4 — his third of the season, which for the Korean national team striker started in September after he joined the Belgrade side from Greek club Olympiacos.
 
It was then Hwang’s turn to come in with an assist for midfielder Aleksander Katai’s goal in the 76th minute, which sealed the 5-0 victory for the SuperLiga leaders.
 
Hwang has so far notched four assists for the Red Stars, and Sunday’s match was his first time recording both a goal and an assist in a single SuperLiga game.
 
Sunday’s match was also Hwang’s last before the FIFA international break, during which he’ll join the Korean national squad for two 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Thailand, at home on March 21 and away on March 26.
 
Red Star next play Zenit of the Russian Premier League in a club friendly over the weekend before their next SuperLiga match against Javor on March 30.
