Kia debuts new K4 compact sedan at New York International Auto Show

Kia’s all-new K4 compact sedan made its first-ever physical debut at the 2024 New York International Auto Show on Wednesday.
 
Hyundai Motor also unveiled its updated Tuscon SUV for the first time in the United States during the auto show, which will run for 10 days from Friday to April 7. The event was opened to the press for two days from Wednesday.
 
The newest K4 four-door is the carmaker’s fourth-generation compact sedan. It features an advanced driver assistance system for autonomous driving and expansive interior space.
 
According to Kia, the K4 is the widest in the compact segment, with a length of 185.4 inches and a width of 72.8 inches.
 
Kia plans to sell the K4 sedan in the U.S. market in the latter half of this year.
 
The carmaker will display 21 cars, including the K4, EV6, EV9, and Sorento, at its exhibition area at the New York International Auto Show.

Meanwhile, Hyundai Motor’s 2025 Tucson SUV made its U.S. debut on Wednesday with its revised exterior design.
 
"The refreshed 2025 Tucson SUV expands the appeal of our full-spectrum eco-powertrain approach, offering internal combustion, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid models in a popular compact SUV design," said José Muñoz, Hyundai Motor's global chief operating officer and CEO of Hyundai Motor North America.
 
The gasoline models of the SUV will begin sales in June, and hybrid models in late summer.
 
Hyundai Motor also revealed the latest Santa Cruz pickup truck with an updated exterior as well as improved infotainment and ADAS. The 2025 Santa Cruz will arrive at Hyundai’s U.S. dealerships this summer.
 
Hyundai will display 26 models at the New York International Auto Show, including the Ioniq 5.
