Samsung tops U.S. home appliance market with 21% share

Samsung Electronics was the No. 1 home appliances brand in the United States last year, data showed Wednesday.
 
Samsung Electronics held 21 percent of market share in the U.S. home appliances market based on sales in 2023, according to data from market researcher TraQline.
 
It was followed by its Korean rival, LG Electronics, at 19 percent, and General Electric in third place with 18 percent, followed by Whirlpool at 15 percent.
 
In terms of units sold, Samsung Electronics also accounted for the biggest market share in the U.S. market, with 19 percent, followed by GE at 17 percent. LG Electronics and Whirlpool hold 16 percent each.
 
A survey by TraQline showed that Samsung was also the most preferred brand that consumers consider when purchasing home appliance products, recording 32 percent of responses. It was trailed by LG Electronics at 29 percent, and GE and Whirlpool both at 28 percent.
 
Samsung has been working to expand its share in the U.S. home appliance market, releasing new products and services featuring artificial intelligence technology.
