Lisa's new solo deal with RCA Records promises global movement

Blackpink’s Lisa and her label Lloud Co. entered a partnership with RCA Records for her global solo career, Sony Music Entertainment Korea said Thursday.

Under the deal, Lisa will release new solo music with RCA Records and have full ownership of all her recordings, according to RCA Records in a statement on Wednesday.

“I’m super excited to be joining the RCA family and I am confident they are the best team to create a bigger movement in my solo career,” Lisa said in RCA Records’ announcement of their deal. “Looking forward to showing the world everything we have been preparing.”

“We are incredibly proud to partner with Lisa and Lloud Co.! Lisa is a multidimensional talent and an irrefutable global force. We are thrilled to welcome her and her team to the RCA Records family,” RCA Records Chairman and CEO Peter Edge and COO John Fleckenstein said in a joint statement.

RCA Records is a subsidiary under Sony Music Entertainment, one of the company’s four main labels. Solo artists who have signed with RCA Records also include ASAP Rocky, Doja Cat, Justin Timberlake, SZA, Mark Ronson, Foo Fighters and Latto.

Lisa announced the launch of Lloud Co. in February. It was founded “in an effort to create a platform to showcase her overall vision in music and entertainment that pushes boundaries,” according to RCA Records’ announcement.

She was the third Blackpink member to announce her label following bandmates Jennie and Jisoo, who both founded individual management labels with members of their family.

Lisa launched her solo career with her first single, “Lalisa,” in September 2021. She will make her acting debut with a role in the upcoming third season of HBO’s “The White Lotus.”
