Boy band DAY6 and YG Entertainment’s rookie girl group BabyMonster topped Favorite’s weekly chart for the first week of April.

Favorite is a K-pop fan poll co-developed by digital streaming service Bugs and the JoongAng Ilbo, an affiliate of the Korea JoongAng Daily.

Weekly chart rankings are calculated through a combination of fan votes and an artist’s number of streams on Bugs.

DAY6 received a score of 40.5 percent, accounting for 93,643 votes and 5.4 percent of Bugs’ streaming data. Singer-songwriter IU landed in second place with 18.1 percent, which accounted for 37,779 votes and 3.9 percent of Bugs’ streaming data. Girl group (G)I-DLE followed in third with 14.4 percent, accounting for 31,652 votes and 2.6 percent of Bugs’ streaming data.

DAY6 will be awarded with a celebratory in-app banner, which will be seen on the Bugs phone app from April 12, while IU’s celebratory banner will be found on the charts category of the app.

BabyMonster ranked No. 1 on Favorite’s Weekly Comeback artist chart, which looks to find the “most-loved” comebacks in recent days. BabyMonster saw 48.1 percent support, accounting for 17,183 votes and 0.7 percent of Bugs’ streaming data.

YG Entertainment’s much-anticipated girl group BabyMonster dropped its first EP, “BABYMONS7ER,” on April 1, with its lead track “Sheesh.” “BABYMONS7ER” is the group’s first music release after member Ahyeon returned to the group.

Singer and actor BoA followed in second place with 14.1 percent score, and boy band NCT Dream landed in third.

BabyMonster and BoA’s celebratory videos will play at the Parnas Media Tower, located near COEX Mall in Gangnam District, southern Seoul, from Saturday to April 26.
