Korean cosmetics sales surge over 200% on Amazon for end of March

Korean cosmetics brands that topped Amazon's 2024 Big Spring Sales event [AMAZON GLOBAL SELLING]

Sales of Korean cosmetics products surged by over 200 percent on year on Amazon in the end of March across various countries, the U.S. e-commerce giant said.

In particular, K-beauty sellers registered on Amazon's Korea-based Strategic Account Services, or its paid service for brand owners or manufacturers, registered an over 300 percent increase in sales during the Big Spring Sales event that took place from March 20 to 25.

Many K-beauty brands dominated the top ranks in various subcategories, according to Amazon.

Cosrx's Snail Mucin Essence topped the facial serum category, while Beauty of Joseon's Revive Eye Serum claimed the number one spot in the eye treatment serum category. Anua's Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner ranked first in the facial toner and astringent category, ma:nyo's Pure Cleansing Oil in the makeup cleansing oil category, and KAHI's Multi Balm in the eye treatment balm category.

Cosrx's Snail Mucin, in particular, maintained its spot among top best-sellers during the event period on Amazon, continuing its growth following last year's Prime Big Deal Days, Black Friday and Cyber Monday events.
