Busan KCC Egis take 2-1 lead in KBL Championship
Busan KCC Egis beat Suwon KT Sonicboom 92-89 in the third game of the 2023-24 KBL Championship at Sajik Gymnasium in Busan on Wednesday, taking the best-of-seven series score to 2-1.
Victory for Egis this year would make the Busan club the first team to win the title after finishing the regular season in fifth place. Egis haver already become the first fifth-place team to reach the championship.
This year's title contest is a clash between the popular Heo brothers — Heo Ung of Egis and Heo Hoon of Sonicboom — who are the two sons of KBL legend Hur Jae.
A Heo brother is guaranteed the championship title, but the decision on which Heo will lift the trophy could come as late as May 9, when Game 7 is scheduled.
The fourth game of the series will take place at Sajik Gymnasium on Friday.
