North Chungcheong to host job fair for foreign nationals
North Chungcheong announced Wednesday it will host the 2024 Chungcheongbuk-do Global Job Fair for foreign nationals who wish to get a job in the province.
The job fair will be held at the Cheongju Gymnasium in Cheongju, North Chungcheong, on June 13.
International students and foreign job-seekers in Korea are eligible to attend. Around 30 North Chungcheong-based companies willing to hire foreign nationals will attend to do job interviews with the visitors.
Chungbuk Business Agency is accepting applications from companies that wish to attend until May 17. The list of attending companies will be announced via the agency website after applications close.
Additional job fair sessions will offer interview consultations and résumé writing advice. Briefing sessions about the F-2-R regional specialized residency visa and E-7-4 skilled worker visa, explaining the eligibility of those visas and how foreign nationals can apply, will also be held.
Those who wish to attend can register via the Chungbuk Business Agency website or simply visit the job fair on the day.
"We hope to resolve the labor shortage issue that local companies face and encourage more foreign nationals to reside in the area," said Jang Ki-bong, North Chungcheong's director for youth policy. "We will continue to do our best so foreigners can easily settle down in North Chungcheong."
