A festival and concert will be held on Tuesday in Gwanghwamun Square in Jung District, central Seoul, for Korea's 10th annual Cultural Diversity Week.

The "Cultural Diversity Concert" will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday in tandem with the World Day for Cultural Diversity, which was designated as May 21 by the United Nations in 2002. Korea designated its first Cultural Diversity Week, which starts on May 21, in 2015.

Italian entertainer Alberto Mondi will host the concert. Congolese entertainer Patricia Yiombi and Nepalese entertainer Sujan Shakya will participate, and singer Stella Jang, performer Mafo Laure and band Soran are set to perform and celebrate the occasion.

Mondi and Shakya became famous after appearing on JTBC’s “Abnormal Summit,” a television talk show where people from different countries openly discuss culture and social issues. Yiombi settled in Korea at the age of five and runs a YouTube channel with her brother, Jonathan Yiombi.

Stella Jang is a singer who lived in France for 11 years and received a master’s degree from French university AgroParisTech. Mafo Laure is a Cameroonian French national that moved to Korea in 2017 to study pansori, traditional Korean narrative singing.

The “Cultural Diversity Concert” will be held for free. Seats and souvenirs can be booked in advance.
