A lodging facility on Hangang Bridge in central Seoul, called Sky Suite, was unveiled during a promotional event on Tuesday.
Officials and celebrities attended Tuesday's pre-opening ceremony for the facility, including Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon, Airbnb Chief Business Officer Dave Stephenson, Sanha of boy band Astro and actor Cho Yi-hyun.
The self-contained suite is a transformation of the Nodeul Jiknyeo Cafe, and is called "Sky Suite, Hangang Bridge, Seoul," the Seoul Metropolitan Government said. The lodging facility will officially open to the public on July 16.
The 144-square-meter (1,550-square-foot) accommodation features a living room, bedroom and bathroom, and can accommodate up to four guests.
The city government noted that the five glass windows will provide guests with views of the Han River from every area of the suite.
A night’s stay will cost around 340,000 won ($255) to 500,000 won. The final price will be settled next month. Bookings can be made on Airbnb starting July 1.
"The Han River is a very attractive space where the history and future of Seoul, as well as Korea, coexist, but it has not been utilized actively," Oh said.
"We will be able to widely promote the charms of the Han River and Seoul to the world by opening the Sky Suite on Hangang Bridge."
