Boy band Tomorrow X Together topped the Oricon Charts with its new three-track Japanese single “Chikai."

"Chikai" was released on Wednesday as the band's first new Japanese music in a year since the group's second Japanese full-length album, "Sweet," released last July.

“Chikai” sold over 300,000 copies upon release on Wednesday and reached No. 1 on the Oricon Daily Digital Single Ranking chart, according to the boy band’s agency, BigHit Music.

“Chikai” surpassed the sales of its previous Japanese single, “Good Boy Gone Bad" (2022), by approximately 20,000 copies, becoming the boy band’s most successful Japanese single.

The music video of the lead track “We’ll Never Change” topped the Line Music Music Video chart on Tuesday as well.

Tomorrow X Together performed “We’ll Never Change” on Fuji TV’s “2024 FNS Music Festival Summer,” which aired on Wednesday. The boy band is set to perform on NTV’s music show “The Music Day 2024” on Saturday and music festival “Mezamashi Live” on Aug. 12.
