BHC chicken opens seventh Malaysian outlet

BHC chicken, Korea's largest chicken franchise by sales, opened its seventh outlet in Malaysia on Monday as part of its overseas expansion strategy.

The seventh store is located at the Elmina Lakeside Mall near the Southeast Asian country's capital city of Kuala Lumpur, the company said in a statement.

With the opening of Malaysia's latest outlet, the chicken franchise operates 23 overseas stores — two in Hong Kong, three in Singapore, eight in Thailand, seven in Malaysia and three in the United States, it said.

BHC chicken plans to add two additional shops in both Thailand and the United States by the end of this year, a company spokesperson said.

BHC Group operates a host of restaurant brands, including the fried chicken franchise BHC chicken, the Korean barbecue franchise Changgo 43 and Outback Steakhouse.
