Nighttime tours of Gyeongbok Palace will kick off on Sept. 11 inviting visitors to enjoy an autumn night at the historical site, according to the Korea Heritage Service. 
 
The "Starlight Tour at Gyeongbokgung Palace" opens the space for nighttime visitors to explore the palace's gates, halls and pavilions, including Gwanghwamun Gate, Heungryemun Gate, Geunjeongjeon Hall, Gyeonghoeru Pavilion, Sajeongjeon Hall, Gangnyeongjeon (King's Quarters), Gyotaejeon (Queen's Quarters) and the Amisan area.
 
The tour runs from 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

The event will take place from Sept. 11 to Oct. 27, except on Mondays and Tuesdays, as well as on Sept.19 and Oct. 9.
 
Online reservations for the biannual nighttime tours will open at 10 a.m. on Wednesday on Interpark Ticket.
 
A total of 3,000 tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis each day until Oct. 26, priced at 3,000 won ($2.25) each. One person can purchase up to four tickets.
 
Walk-in reservations are permitted for foreign nationals, who can purchase tickets by showing identification, such as passports. Three hundred tickets will be available per day at the ticket booth, with a limit of two tickets per person.
 
Free admission is offered to seniors aged 65 and above, infants and children under 6 years old, those wearing a hanbok, the traditional Korean garment, as well as some visitors with disabilities and national merit recipients and their families.
