Food exports hit record high driven by ramen, rice

Exports of agricultural food products surpassed 9.6 trillion won ($7.2 billion) in the first nine months of this year, an all-time high, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs announced Thursday.
 
The figure marked an 8.3 percent increase from the same period of last year, with instant noodle, snack, beverage and processed rice exports all reaching new highs. 
 
Exports to Latin America, and particularly Mexico, saw the steepest growth, recording an on-year increase of 122.6 percent.
