Jeonju University signs MOU with Woori Bank on services for international students

Jeonju University signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Woori Bank to offer financial services to global talent.


The MOU — signed on Thursday at the university’s campus in Jeonju, North Jeolla, with representatives from both organizations present — details the bank’s plans to issue student ID cards that can be used abroad and provide financial services tailored to international students.

The two parties will also exchange human and material resources to strengthen their cooperation.
 
“We will strengthen our partnership with Jeonju University, which contributes significantly to the local community, and offer financial services that align with the university’s efforts to promote international exchange,” said a Woori Bank official, adding that the bank will continue to provide various forms of support for both university staff and students.
 
Jeonju University has formed partnerships with 296 universities across various countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom, to broaden its global network and attract talent.  
 
The university currently offers a host family program, which matches international students with university staff to help them settle in Korea while also assigning teaching assistants for additional support.
