[LETTERS TO THE EDITOR]Communists, if legal, will be ignored

I am a German journalist living and working in Seoul. In West Germany during the Cold War we had at least four different “communist” parties, loyal to China, Albania or others. One, the German Communist Party, was directly related to the German Democratic Republic (East Germany). It got its money from there, and its ideas. It wasn’t a real problem for the West German government, which knew that only a minority would follow the “communist” idea.
I think it will be the same here. See organizations like the Democratic Labor Party, or much worse, the Socialist Party. Nobody is really interested in that kind of group. A “communist” party in South Korea will be no threat to the society, not at all.
