Big Bang by the Yen"s Abrupt Rise

As the value of the Japanese yen rises abruptly against the U.S. dollar in international markets, the domestic financial market is volatile.
In the foreign exchange market as of October 9, the value of the won rose by 41 won to peak at 1,320 won during the day before closing at 1,333 won, 28 won higher than the previous day.
Experts in the market explain that amid the continuous inflow of foreign capital resulting from the sale of companies' assets, the won is receiving downward pressure due to the recent abrupt rise in the value of the Japanese yen. The recent rise of the yen can be attributed to the natural phenomenon caused by the U.S. dollar's fall reflecting a global economic pessimism.
In capital markets, the real yields of three year due debentures fell to 10.3%, recording an all time low as the recent fall in interest rates continues.
Stock prices rose greatly. The composite stock price index in Seoul jumped by 22.74 points more than the previous day, closing at 327.96 point.
