Daejeon will hold a university fair in Vietnam, visiting with universities based in the city to provide information to students interested in studying in Korea.

The fair will take place on Thursday and Friday, with Chungnam National University, Woosong University, Woosong College and Daeduk University attending, according to the city on Thursday.

Prospective students interested in studying at Daejeon universities are welcome to attend the fair.

On Thursday, the fair will be held at Thu Dau Mot University in Binh Duong province, then move to the Korean Education Centre in Ho Chi Minh on Friday.

Briefing sessions for the four universities will run from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., followed by one-on-one consultations with university staff from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

During their visit to Vietnam, Daejeon city officials also plan to meet with Korean language professors, local school officials and study-abroad agencies to explore avenues for attracting more international students to Daejeon universities.

Daejeon has been holding the university fair annually since 2013, focusing on Vietnam and China, the two countries that send the highest number of international students.
