U.S. Investment Delegation Visited FKI
An investment delegation from United States made a visit to the Federation of Korean Industries (FKI) and held a meeting with FKI's directors on May 12.The delegation, composed of 12 directors from U.S.based major investment companies such as Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, and Merill Lynch , including Andre Simon, vice president of Scudder Kemper company.
It said at the meeting that the environment under which foreign investors can invest to S.K. is making fast progress because the Korean economy is showing the most rapid recovery of the Asian countries which suffered from the foreign currency crisis.
The delegation plans to visit the Restructuring Headquarters of Hyundai, Daewoo, and SK groups on May 13. It made a visit to Samsung and LG today.
A source from FKI said that the investment companies which hold many shares of Korean corporations can reorganize their investment in Korean companies, based on an evaluation to be conducted during their visit.
