Tripartite Committee to be Resumed

The Tripartite Committee - composed of representatives of labor, management and political sectors - will resume talks after 3 months of inactivity as the management sector recently decided to come back to the Committee.
Moreover, the Federation of Korean Trade Unions (FKTU) has also decided to return to the table, so it will possible to hold the third committee meeting in August.
The FKTU held a meeting at Lotte Hotel in which the resolution was made.
Fourteen members including Chairman Kim Chang-sung, Honorary Chairman Lee Dong-chan and LG advisor Ku Du-hoi participated in the congregation.
Cho Nam-hong, vice-Chairman of the Korea Employers Federation (KEF) Tuesday said, 'Although the financial circle determined to leave the committee in April, we overturned the decision for reasons of economic recovery and cooperation in these times of turbulence. We want the government to assume a neutral standpoint and not to intercede unfairly.'
