Elderly Woman Donates 2 Million Won for Flood Victims

'I hope this small amount of money can aid flood victims, even if to a slight degree,' said the 84-year-old woman Choi Bong-hee, who contributed 2 million won for people damaged by the recent heavy rains.
She saved the money from her 200,000 won governmental monthly subsidy.
The old lady, who was born in Pyongyang, North Korea and came to the South during the Korean War, said, 'I cannot but give all my money to the people who lost their homes, after watching flood victims in Munsan and Paju on TV.'
Mrs. Choi had lived in her nephew's house in Seoul since her husband died 20 years ago, before recently moving to the Chongam Sanitorium for senior citizens.
