General Election Cyber Spaces Popular

Three Internet general election events held by JoongAng Ilbo are heating up fast due to Internet users' excitement.
The March 6 general election reporter event put on by JoongAng Ilbo and Joins.com, during which Internet users can become 'guards' for a clean general election, is the most popular of the events. Interest in the JoongAng site is increasing as a result of its online election activities.
General election space 'click 413' (http://www.click413.co.kr) cooperated with Joongang Ilbo and Postock's professional political stock Internet site to create Joins.com, JoongAng Ilbo's homepage and the '2000 General Election Stock Market.' If you wish to register to be a general election cyber reporter or participate in '2000 General Election Stock Market,' click 'right decision 2000! 16th general election' on the Joins.com homepage (www.joins.com).
The General Election Cyber Reporters come from all walks of life, including housewives between the ages of 20 and 30, university students, office workers, and teachers. 60 reporters registered and began working on March 9.
Kim Na-mi, a housewife with two children, stated her opinion that housewives have displayed their power at elections. Because of this she decided to begin developing articles along with other housewives. Seok Hye-jo, a junior majoring in Linguistics at Korea University, said reporting articles through the Internet would be very interesting and stated that she would make an effort to collect news materials with an open mind.
About 5000 votes have been cast at 'click 413,' the General Election webpage. Grand National Party (GNP)representative Maeng Hyung-kyu and Millennium Democratic Party (MDP) representative Kim Min-seok are battling it out for first place.
2771 members have registered on the '2000 General Election Stock Market' site since it opened on Feb 21. About 6000 stock deals are made there each day. The MDP's stocks are currently boasting the highest selling price while the GNP's, ULD's, and others follow behind.
