ULD Requests Mediation Following Joongang Ilbo Report
On April 18, Lee Han-dong, the president of the United Liberal Democrats, requested mediation from the Press Arbitration Commission with regards to a Joongang Ilbo report. The Joongang Ilbo recently released a report that "President Kim Dae-jung and Kim Jong-pil, the honorary president of the ULD, secretly met."Lee said that "The Joongang Ilbo reported that president Kim Dae-jung and Kim Jong-pil of the ULD met at W hotel on April 16. However, Kim Jong-pil was staying at the Grand Hyatt hotel on the same night," in the statement submitted to the Press Arbitration Commission.
