Prime Minister of Australia to Visit Korea on May 18

Australian Prime Minister John Howard, will pay an official visit to Korea from May 18 to 21, at the invitation of President Kim.

A summit meeting is scheduled for May 19, which will focus on cooperative measures in relation to North-Korean issues. Australia will reestablish diplomatic relations with North Korea on May 8.

Prime Minister Howard will also have a meeting with Prime Minister Park Tae-joon and Lee Hun-jae, the minister of finance and economy, to discuss economic cooperation.
