Dacom bonds get junk-level debt rating

Dacom Corp., Korea’s second- largest long-distance phone carrier, got junk-level debt ratings from Moody’s Investors Service and Standard & Poor’s on the company’s proposed sale of $300 million worth of bonds. Dacom got a BB-, the third-highest junk rating, on its long-term debt from S&P, the credit ratings company said yesterday in a statement. Moody’s said it assigned Dacom a Ba2 rating on its long-term senior unsecured debt, the second-highest junk grade.
