Lisa Vershbow plans a final exhibition here

Lisa Vershbow, a metalwork artist and the wife of United States Ambassador Alexander Vershbow, will hold a final exhibition in Korea before her husband’s three-year term in Seoul expires in September.

The exhibition, titled “Crossing Borders?Jewelry and Objects,” will be held at the Sun Gallery in Insa-dong, central Seoul, from July 9 to 22. Around 100 pieces of her artwork will be exhibited. It will be her second exhibition in Seoul after a show in June 2006, also at the Sun Gallery.

Apart from the solo shows, she has been active in Korean art circles since October 2005, three days after arriving in Seoul, where several of her pieces were displayed at an industrial art exhibition in Insa-dong. In July 2007 she had a joint exhibition at the Museum of Art at Seoul National University with three other American artists.

A longtime artist and jewelry designer, Vershbow was a founder of the Washington Guild of Goldsmiths and served as its president from 1994 to 1996, according to her Web site, www.lisavershbow.com.
