Halmeoni means grandmother in Korea, and half the fun of going to this small, highly popular standby is to watch the grandmas laboriously slicing, tearing and cooking the handmade noodles as you wait in line for a table - which you will be forced to at the main branch at lunchtime.
Small pieces of potato, zucchini, green onion and seaweed amble across the surface of the delicate broth, which is made from seafood stock and water.
